Compared with the old projector, the brightness is astounding. I am using it on the second of the four brightness levels and can comfortably watch a movie or play a game with ambient light in the room. The projector also use to blank out while running in the middle and serach for signal abruptly. It started to happen a lot but once I switched to Apple TV and XBOX as pimary devices did not had this issue.
